Czechoslovak Hussite Church’s Commission for the Jubilee 2015 was founded by the Central Council of the Church. Its first meeting was held on February 23rd 2012.
Mandate
The Commission takes care about the whole conception of the Hus triennium project as well as about the partial steps of the project. The task of the Commission is also to map all the planned activities linked to the jubilee, to link them with each other and coordinate within the Czechoslovak Hussite Church and also link them to activities of other Churches and organisations, which organise some Hus jubilee programme in the CR and abroad. The function of the Commission is also to initiate activities and reflections of the jubilee inside the Church as well as externally.
The Commission initiated, that the Hus triennium was announced at the festive worship in Bethlehem’s Chapel on July 6th 2012 at the occasion of 597th anniversary of death in fire of M. Juan Hus.
The Commission at its first meeting chose the motto and the headwords of the Hus Triennium
Motto: “I beg you to love each other, not to allow oppression of the good by violence and to wish truth for everyone!” (Hus’ letter from Konstanz “To the whole Czech nation”)
Headword: Cohesiveness, Justice, Truth
The Commission invited all the parishes and other parts of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church (dioceses, institutes etc.) to organize activities at the occasion of the Hus jubilee and register them within the Hus Triennium.
The Commission initiated launching of a special website www.hus2015.cz. The website was presented on February 26th 2013 within another presentation – of a book “Master Jan Hus in time’s changes and his message of faith for today” (Mistr Jan Hus v proměnách času a jeho poselství víry dnešku, CČSH, Praha, 2012).
The Commission also supports the project Students Read Hus.

The members of the Commission share the tasks of preparations for the project. The administrative support is provided by the External Affairs Dept. of the Office of the Central Council of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church.
