The Czechoslovak Hussite Church perceives the upcoming 600th anniversary of the martyrdom of Jan Hus as a rare opportunity for the church, for the ecumenical community of churches in the Czech Republic and the whole Czech society, as well as European and world civilization, to think newly about the meaning and the legacy of this remarkable personality of our history, but also think over the Christian roots of our nation and the growing tradition of Czech Reformation, which significantly participates in formation of its identity in the context of the whole of Europe. And this is the reason why this website was constructed. We would like to inform you about Master Jan Hus work, life, legacy and events that are organised with aim to commemorate the personality and legacy of Master Jan Hus.

The anniversary of Master Jan Hus is commemorated and celebrated every year within the Czechoslovak Hussite Church in Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia and the Slovak Republic on 6th of July and on this commemorative day also with the representatives of all churches in the Czech republic as well as the representatives of the Czech state and international guests in the Bethehemchapell (Prague), brodcasted every year by the Czech TV and Radio. On July 6th of year 2012, during this traditional worship at Bethlehem Chapel on the anniversary of Jan Hus, the time of „Husovské trienium – the Triennium of Master Jan Hus“, that points to 600th anniversary of martyrdom of Master Jan Hus in 2015, was proclaimed.
